I feel very fortunate to live in the Napa Valley on a dead end street that leads into a vineyard. The cover crop in the vineyard is lush this year, now standing about three feet tall. The fava beans with their stalks of leaves dotted with bean shaped white and dark purple flowers, and the tendrils of the sweet peas with their graceful pink flowers, all catch my eye and inspire the shapes on my canvases. |
