 Take a deep breath and close my eyes. Focus for a moment about letting in the light. Begin. Make marks, choose colors that draw me. Make more marks. On and On. Most of the time, it is layer upon layer, but then a shape emerges or a pattern evolves and I fall in love with what is happening.
